Terry Sue Barnes

Terry Sue Wiseman Barnes, 78, of Bedford passed away peacefully on Tuesday,
March 3, 2026, at Southlake Methodist Hospital.

Terry was born on July 6, 1947, in Canon City, Colorado. She spent her early years
living in Oklahoma before settling in Texas with her family. She graduated from Ballinger
High School in May 1965 and later attended beauty school in Abilene, Texas.

In 1966, Terry married Carroll Barnes, and together they embarked on a Texas journey
through Abilene, Perryton, Lubbock, and finally settled in Garland, Texas. She spent 48
wonderful years in Garland, holding many jobs, but none more important than being
"Mom" to a large family of students from the local high school. Their home was a crash
pad, a nurse station, an SNL night hangout, a game-night hub, and a comforting place
to talk when someone needed it. Terry never met a stranger and would give the shirt off
her back to help anyone in need.

Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Barnes, her sister, Sharon
Monday, and by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Wiseman. She is survived by her son,
Chris Barnes and wife Amy of Southlake, and her bonus grandkids Hunter Robichaux,
Ryan Robichaux, Zach Robichaux, Hayden Robichaux and her sister, Becky Cliett of
Hillsboro, her brothers, Alan "Hoot" Wiseman of Melbourne Florida, and Paul Wiseman
Jr. of Graham and many nieces, nephews and cousins, whom she loved dearly.

Her warmth, generosity, and open-door spirit will be fondly remembered by all who were
fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers Terry would like to have donations made to Brookdale Eden Estates.
