Terry Virginia Belcher

Terry Virginia Dale Belcher, 69, of Bastian, VA passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home. Born January 1, 1956 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Janet Dillon Dale. Terry had been a resident of Bastian for five years and was a member of the Narrows Circuit of The United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Bluewell Women's Club and the United Methodist Women. She was an accomplished cross stich artisan having won blue ribbons multiple times at the NC State Fair and the Bland County fair. Terry grew up in Montcalm, WV and lived at Oakland Terrace. She was a graduate of Montcalm High School and had attended Bluefield State College. She was a bookkeeper and had a long professional career having worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Brown Edwards, Marshall Miller, Foster's Market in Durham, NC, UNC, Chapel Hill, and Siler City Furniture. Terry was also faithful in ministry having served alongside her husband, Carl, at St. Luke UMC, Burlington, NC, New Sharon UMC, Hillsborough, NC, Orange Chapel, Chapel Hill, NC, Siler City UMC, Siler City, NC, and Narrows Circuit UMC in Narrows, VA. In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by her brother, Timmy Dale.

Those left to cherish Terry's memory are her husband, Carl Belcher of the home; daughter, Heather Belcher of Durham, NC; special cousins, Debbie Mariotti, Cathy Yost, and John Tote.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2025 at Rocky Gap Global Methodist Church with Rev. Rodney Lawson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bland Ministry Center, P.O. Box 211, Bland, VA 24315 or to Narrows Circuit UMC, 115 Brookside Lane, Bastian, VA 24314.
