Terry E. Carter, aged 72, passed away on February 21, 2026, after a long illness. Born on May 13, 1953, in Cincinnati, to the late Edwin and Virginia (nee Pearson) Carter Sr. Terry led a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep love for the outdoors. He worked as a Medical Tech at Ethicon until he retired, where he dedicated many years to assembling and designing tools and devices that made a difference in healthcare.
Known for his infectious positivity, Terry had a unique ability to see the good in life and bring joy to those around him. A passionate fisherman and hunter, he fostered lasting friendships on the water and in the woods, often sharing laughter and stories with those alongside him. He also enjoyed landscaping, spending time nurturing nature and creating beautiful spaces.
Above all, Terry cherished his family. He loved his children and grandchildren, and was a beloved uncle, adored by his nieces and nephews, who will always remember his warm spirit and playful humor.
Terry spent 17 years with his loving companion the late Brenda McDonald; Father of Tonya Carter Ritchie (the late Ben) and Megan Carter Ollis (Jeffrey); Grandfather of Erin Terrell, William Terrell, Marhsal Carter, and Mackena Carter; Brother of Edwin "Bud" Carter Jr. (Lori) and Tom Carter (Rosie). Terry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Alongside his parents and longtime girlfriend, Terry is preceded in death by his siblings Cliff Carter, Bev Luti, Pat Parker, and Donna Hultz.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service which will begin at 7:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio.
