Terry Criswell of Hobbs, passed away on February 20, 2023 at home surrounded by those who love him. He was born on February 7, 1942 in Stonewall County, Texas to David and Jewel Criswell, one of four children. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Griffin Funeral Home at 2pm. Online condolences may be made at www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com.
Terry was a hardworking man, working in car sales for over 45 years. He was well known in the community as not only an honest and friendly man, but as an avid supporter of the Rodeo. He spearheaded the Tate Branch sponsorship of the rodeo for years and made sure to stay involved with those sponsorships. In 1979 Terry married the love of his life, Manuela and together they raised two children. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings David Criswell and Laverne Slover.
Left to treasure his memory are his beloved wife, Nellie, children Johnny Losoya and Tanya Horn and his brother Jerry Criswell, as well as 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
