Terry Clarence Davis, age 69, of Lennon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dennis Squires will officiate. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct contributions in Terry's name to the Adopt-A-Pet, 13575 N. Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430.
Terry was born on March 26, 1956, in Flint, the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Werner) Davis. He graduated from Ainsworth High School, Class of 1974. Terry began his career at General Motors before pursuing his passion for criminal justice at Mott Community College. After graduating, he served as a Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputy for 22 years until his retirement. Following retirement, Terry continued working as a security guard at Leisure Lake. He was united in marriage to Nancy Hyde on February 17, 2006.
Terry's hobbies include music, outdoorsman, master griller, and storyteller. He loved entertaining friends and family around the fire with his favorite music playing, with his assorted grills lining the deck, and you never left hungry. His stories were masterful and probably went on too long. He was very loved and will be missed by many.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to our village, “West Side Peeps," for the love, friendship, and compassion shown to Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Davis; his children, Marceline (Davis) and husband Eddie Skinner, Rachel Davis and significant other Elijah LeTourneau, and Sydney (Hyde) and husband Derek Earle; grandchildren Nevaeh, Eddie II, Laila, Kaylee, Kayden, Violet, and Reis; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Davis. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
