Terry J. Egerdahl, 78, of Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Bethany on University Retirement Living, Fargo.
Terry John Egerdal was born in Jamestown, ND on September 25, 1946, to Elmer and Alene (Stoppleworth) Egerdahl. He grew up in Ada, MN and graduated from Ada High School in 1964. He enlisted in the Navy and was stationed on the USS Shangri La in San Francisco, CA. After his time in the service, he purchased Horvick Electric and later went to work for L&L Electric until retiring in 2015.
Never one to sit still he continued to work part-time for Hurley’s Furniture where he used his talents as a woodworker to create many custom pieces. He also built pieces for family and friends and loved helping his kids with building projects around their homes.
Terry met his future wife, Kathleen, at a dance at The Bowler in Fargo, and later asked her out on a “formal” date…to a fish fry. Terry loved to fish, and Kathy soon caught the bug for it. They spent many days competing to see who could catch the biggest one. He also enjoyed a good game of cards and a hot brandy after a cold morning on the lake.
Terry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy; sons, Todd, Tracy (Bridget), and Travis; stepdaughters, Trish (Tom) Luebesmier, and Charisse (Mario) Navarro; grandchildren, Kyle, Jordie, Wyatt, Weston, Joel, Wren, Kinsley, and Lauren; and sisters, Merlene (Skip) Bonawitz, and Cindy Plante.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer and Dave; and sister, Nina.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Burial will be in Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
