TERRY MACK FORD, a remarkable soul who graced this world from October 31, 1961, until March 2, 2026, has passed away in his beloved hometown of Dallas, Texas. Known affectionately as the "Street Lieutenant," Terry radiated warmth and vibrancy that can only be described as the essence of “real talk.” His presence was a beacon of joy, a light that drew friends and family alike into his orbit, where laughter flourished and smiles were abundant.
Born in Dallas, Terry was a beautiful person by nature—funny, forgiving, outspoken, and undeniably independent. Those lucky enough to know him experienced his generosity and unwavering support; he was a giver, often prioritizing the happiness of others above his own. Terry possessed an innate ability to uplift those around him, offering compliments and encouragement with an infectious enthusiasm that left a lasting impression.
Family gatherings were the heartbeats of his life, where stories were shared over rounds of dominoes and cherished moments were forged, indelibly etched in the minds and hearts of his loved ones. In his younger days, Terry showcased his prowess on the football and baseball fields, but it was the love for his family that stood as his proudest accomplishment. He took immense pride in his children: his sons, Gerrick Valentine and Terry Charles, and his daughter, Kakaeita Parker. Their successes and growth were trophies he cherished above all else.
Surrounded by the love of his eight grandchildren, Terry found immense joy in watching them grow, constantly encouraging them to dream big and reach for the stars. He was a loving brother to Tillman Ford (Debra), and would often share hearty laughter with his sisters, Dorothy Scott and Felisha Mathis (Bedford). The strength of their bond echoed through the years, a testament to the love that permeated his life.
Though his journey has ended, the memories of Terry will forever be cherished, especially in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. His spirit will linger on, a reminder of the beauty of connection, the magic of laughter, and the power of kindness. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire, reminding us all of the importance of giving our best selves to the world.
As we gather to remember him, let us reflect on the many lessons he imparted: to smile widely, love generously, and, above all, to speak our truth with courage. Terry Mack Ford may have departed this earthly realm, but his essence will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love that fills our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Terry, your journey may have concluded, but your impact will echo through the lives of all who knew you.
