Terry L. Harpman

Terry Lee Harpman, 84, of Galesburg, died at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
Terry was born May 15, 1937 at home in Victoria, Illinois, the son of George E. and Mary E. (Larson) Harpman. He graduated from high school in 1955 and later graduated from Carl Sandburg College with an AAS in accounting. Terry married Joann Lucille Goedeke on August3, 1957 in Galesburg. He then served in the US Army. Terry was a supervisor at OMC Gale Products for many years, until his retirement in 1983.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joann Harpman of Galesburg; a daughter, Teri (Thomas) Godsil of Galesburg; a foreign exchange daughter, Marina (Wayne) Rousey of North Carolina; and three grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Michael Harpman; one brother; and one sister.
He was a caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed. Terry loved to fish. He also enjoyed doing crosswords and sudoku, playing solitaire, and reading.
Cremation will be accorded. Burial of cremated remains will be at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.
