Terry Allen Hibdon, age 76, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away December 11, 2025. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 17, 1949, to Gene and Gwen Hibdon.

He lived as a child in Raytown and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1967. In early Summer 1971, he joined the Coast Guard as a Sonar Technician and was stationed on the USCGC Midgett. After serving on the Midgett, he was an Instructor in San Diego and then was stationed on Governor's Island, NY, for three years onboard the Gallatin and Dallas before returning to San Diego. He retired from the Coast Guard in 1981. After retiring from the Coast Guard his work involved computers and repair.

Terry met his wife, Roma Lee "Lou", on a young-adult campout and they were married in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on August 1, 1975. Terry and Lou had been married for 40 wonderful years at the time of her death in 2015. They lived in San Diego, CA, New York, and Raytown, MO throughout their marriage and had nine children.

He graduated from UMKC with a degree in art. He enjoyed drawing and sketching, playing the guitar, cooking, and baking. His favorite songs to play were Classical Gas and anything by the Beach Boys. He cooked many meals for his family and especially enjoyed making bread and pizza. After he retired in 2016, he joined a local remote-control airplane group and enjoyed flying his plane.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; granddaughter, Jayne; and his wife, Lou. He is survived by nine children: Ashley, Courtney, Terrence, Meghan, Kierstin, Jocelyn, Nathaniel, Cameron and Michaela; and 21 grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for Friday, December 19th, 2025, at Park Lawn Chapel, with visitation beginning at 1pm and funeral services starting at 2pm. Committal service with military honors will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
