Terry Hite Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Connor Mortuary - Laguna Hills Chapel & Mortuary on Sep. 24, 2025.
With grieving hearts, we sadly announce the passing of our mother, Terry Jean Hite. She peacefully left us on Sunday, April 13 th in Mission Viejo. At 82, She was our dad's beloved "Queenie" who stood by his side for sixty-five years.

Terry was born on December 22nd in San Bernardino, raised in Fontana by parents, Joe and Venetia. She attended Fontana High School, where she met Ernie Hite. Together they loved doo-wop music, hot rods, dances and sports. At the very young ages of 16 and 19, Terry and Ernie married and soon after had two young children. They relished the joys of parenting and making a loving home for our family. Terry was naturally born to be a mother, wife and homemaker.

In 1971, our family moved to Mission Viejo and later to San Clemente in 1994. Throughout Terry's life she worked in schools, the library, belonged to the Questers Antique Society and volunteered at Mission Hospital for more than 40 years! She was a talented and prolific scrapbooker, loved holidays, family gatherings, outings and trips with our dad and their friends. She loved dogs. Beagles to be exact.

Terry is survived by our dad, Ernest Hite, her two children: Son Vito and daughter-in-law Melissa Hite, daughter Venetia Hite, fiancée Bob Muro, three grandchildren: Paul Hite, Brittany (David) Silva and Bradley Hite and has two beautiful great grandchildren: Penny and Hudson Silva.

Our mother had the most honest, loving, tender soul who always smiled from her heart outward, making others feel special.

Her sweet memory will be in our hearts forever.
