Terry “Joe” Hartin
Terry Joe Hartin, 48 years, 2 months, 13 days old, passed away from an unexpected illness on January 5, 2026, in Seymour, Missouri.
Joe was born October 22, 1977, in Springfield, Missouri. He was raised in Ava, Missouri, and he graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1996 where he attended his senior year.
Joe grew up in a strong Christian home and was baptized in the James River Church in Ozark, Missouri. He later attended the Ava Church Of God (Holiness) with his grandmother, Beverly. His faith was strong and he loved the Lord.
Joe had currently been working for Willoughby Hot Rods in Ava, Missouri. He loved working as a mechanic and doing auto body restoration. He had formerly worked as a CDL Truck Driver for McLane Ozark out of Republic, Missouri. He was proud having his CDL and he loved working.
Joe devoted several years to taking care of his loving grandmother, Beverly Robison. They had a special bond. He also enjoyed his dogs, Buddy and Lucy.
His hobbies were woodworking, collecting various antiques, and spending time with his friends. Joe was kind and had a big heart. He will be greatly missed.
Joe was preceded in death by grandparents, Beverly and Cleo Roy Robison, Charlie Satterfield, and Gordon Moeller, and stepdad Danny Cutbirth.
Joe is survived by his father and mother, Terry and Marcia Hartin; his brother, Jordan Cutbirth; his grandmother, Wanda Moeller; his aunts and uncles , Shauna and Allen Kester, Sandra and Tom Kloeppel, Leann and Kelly Elmenhorst, Kelly Moeller, Jeff Moeller, and Chrystal and Charlie Mansfield; nieces, nephews, and cousins; his very special friend, Shawna Freeman; extended family and many friends.
Funeral services for Joe will be Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Joe will be laid to rest by his grandmother, Beverly Robison. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. Officiating will be Reverend Charles Peak. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
