Terry Edward Ledford was born on October 18, 1965, in Waynesville, NC, to the late Robert and Agnes Ledford. Sadly, he passed away at his home on July 31, 2025. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Ledford.

Terry leaves behind four children: Shannon Anthony Davis (Meghan) of Waynesville; Jacob Miguel Veranes-Ledford of Tucson, Arizona; Edward Blaine Ledford of Waynesville; and Ava-Anne Marie Ledford of Waynesville. Terry is also survived by three brothers and one sister: David Hall of Kahului, Hawaii; Robert Hall (Barbara) of Marlow, Oklahoma; Ronald Ledford (Stephanie) of Georgia, and Vicky Gable (Mark) of Waynesville; as well as a long time special friend, Tina Scott-Muskas (Waynesville).

Terry was a friend, a father, and a " tough son of a gun." He would always speak his mind, even if you didn't want to hear it. He wasn't the "I love you" kind of man, but you'd know if he did. He showed that he cared about people through actions more than words. Terry always showed up for us when we needed him. Whether it was to change a tire, help you move, tow your car, install a handrail, or even drill a hole in your headlight so that water stopped collecting inside of it,- he would always be there when you called him. We tried to be there when he needed us too. That's just what family does. Terry loved going fishing in the river, playing canasta with his friends, sharing stories, and listening to Nickelback. He loved his children more than anything in the whole world. Every day he'd make sure their needs were met, even with all of his health problems and pain. He'd never speak ill about family in front of the kids no matter how mad he was. He was such a strong and unique personality with a good sense of humor. We loved Terry, and it's not going to be the same without him.

To honor his request, no formal funeral services will be held.
