Terry Lenke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Accent Funeral Home - Meridian on Mar. 4, 2025.
Terry Alan Lenke On February 24, 2025, Terry went with his heavenly Father after a nearly two-year battle with cancer.
Terry Alan Lenke was born October 11, 1945, in Bakersfield, California to Milton and Louise Lenke, both who preceded him in death. After high school in Bakersfield, Terry made a courageous decision to serve his country. He spent four years in the United States Air Force at the beginning of the Vietnam War, where he was a radar specialist guiding the planes. His service was a testament to his bravery and dedication. Following his honorable discharge, Terry received an Associate of Science degree in automotive repair and diesel engines which enabled him to own and operate gas stations, towing, and automotive repair businesses for about 20 years.
In 1987, Terry moved to LaPine, Oregon, where he met his wife in 1989, Bonnie Januik Lenke, and they married in 1991. Terry started a new career when he moved to Oregon in Real Estate sales and later added new home construction to the business. In 2008, Terry retired and moved to Arizona for ten years. After briefly living in Florida, he and Bonnie decided to settle in Nampa, Idaho, in 2020. His hobbies included traveling, cruises, gardening, reading, and his grandchildren and great grandchild, who he adored. However, the most significant part of his life was when he found and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior during the 1980s. His faith was his guiding light, and it was his greatest joy to serve the Lord Jesus until the end of his life.
Terry's love and dedication to his family was unwavering. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie-Lynn; three children, Darren Buchan of Newhall California, David Lenke (Amanda) of Camas Washington, and Kristen Boller (Andy) of Bend, Oregon; his three grandchildren, Marshall (Libby), Emily, Ethan, and great-granddaughter, Sunny; sisters, Bunny Adams (Barry) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Carol O'Connor of the Bay Area, California, and Vickie (Ritch) Murrell of Medford, Oregon.
I Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
