Terry Lock

Mr. Terry Lee "Turtle" Lock, age 67, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 18, 1954 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was the son of the late, Leonard and Nona Virginia (Darbro) Lock. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where he attended school. Terry was united in marriage on May 3, 1975 at the First Baptist Church in Vevay, Indiana to Patricia Ann Brewer. This happy union of 23 years was blessed with five children, Terina, Sondra, Lisa, Joshua and Jacob. Turtle was employed as an HVAC installer most all of his life, a trade he learned from his father-in-law, James Walters, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Sons of the Vevay American Legion Post #185.Turtle enjoyed going to the creek and fishing, walking his property, having a good time with his friends and neighbors, as well as, cutting firewood, gardening and riding his motorcycle. Turtle also loved playing cards, especially euchre. Terry passed away at 10:02 p.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Terry is survived by his five children, Terina Brewer and her husband, Johnny of North Vernon, IN, Sondra Lock of North Vernon, IN, Lisa Wilks and her husband, Anthony of Vevay, IN, Joshua Lock and his wife, Juanita of Madison, IN and Jacob Lock of Bennington, IN; his grandchildren, Keith Herald, Kaleb (Shelby) Herald, Olivia (Shawn) Lindley, Meghan Miller, Taylor Rush, Landon Wilks, Carter Wilks, Drew Wilks, Brady Lock, Bentley Lock, Beckham Lock and Bailey Lock; his great-grandchildren, Dallas Herald, Ivey Herald and Milah Blythe; his aunt, Nina Lock of Vevay, IN and his several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Leonard Lock, died January 9, 2003; his mother, Nona Virginia (Darbro) Lock, died May 23, 2000; his brother, Leonard Wayne Lock, died September 9, 2011; his sister, Darlena Kay (Lock) Smith, died April 23, 2017; his brother-in-law, Jerry Smith, died August 22, 2019; his maternal-grandparents, William Darbro and Floy (Tapp) Darbro, died February 3, 1930; his paternal-grandparents, Walter Scott Lock, died May 24, 1972 and Ethel M. (Covington) Lock, died February 26, 1984.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, by Bro. Anthony Wilks, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
