Terry Leroy McDaniel

Terry Leroy McDaniel, 79, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center. He was born on October 18, 1946, in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Opal Marsh McDaniel and the late Ralph McDaniel. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served three tours in Viet Nam. He served as a deacon at Parkdale Baptist Church. He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church, where he served on the pastor Search Committee. He was huge NASCAR fan. He was a man of faith; he loved the Lord and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years Minnie McDaniel, daughter Lisa Allen (Len) of Salisbury, son Rickey Smith (Kelly) of Salisbury, sister; Elaine Sechler (Gary) of China Grove, grandchildren; Branden Stout (Jessie Boyd), Breanna Allen, Christopher Smith, Katie Loudermilk (Clay), and great granddaughter Briar Kylee Loudermilk.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13 from 11:30am until 1:00pm. Funeral services will follow in the Summersett Memorial Chapel at 1:00pm with the Rev. Mike Roper officiating. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Rowan County Veteran's Honor Guard.
