Terry Odell

Terry Ann Odell, born September 14, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 72.

Terry was a devoted mother to her daughters, Jessica and Lisa, whom she raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was a proud and loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, Moira, Jaylen, Ava, Adriana, and Olive, who brought her great joy.

Terry devoted 40 years of service to Ann Arbor Public Schools. She began her career at Community High School and later worked at Clague Middle School, where she spent the remainder of her career as general office manager before retiring. She was highly regarded by colleagues for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the school community.

Social by nature, Terry valued her many friendships and close relationships with neighbors. For more than two decades, she participated in a neighborhood card group, with a particular fondness for Canasta. She had a lifelong appreciation for the arts, especially nature photography, and shared her work through participation in local craft shows. She also enjoyed reading and creating art. Above all, she cherished time spent with her friends and family.

Terry is survived by her daughters, Jessica Fitzgibbon and Lisa (Paul) Ayala; her grandchildren; her siblings, Sandra (Steven) Franck, John (Katherine) Odell, Janet (John) Brock, and Jeannette Odell. She will be remembered for her kindness and the lasting impact she had on those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

A memorial gathering will take place on December 27, 2025 from 1-4pm at Nie Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108.
