Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Walters, OK, Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Ron Blankinship officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. Visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Terry Lee (Cobb) Payne was born to Clois Raymond and Lillie Marie (Fluhman) Cobb in Vernon, TX on October 23, 1955 and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on March 11, 2023 at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 16 days.

Terry grew up at Lockett, TX, graduating from Crowell High School in 1974. She then attended Vernon Junior College. She married Randy Keith Payne on February 24, 1978 in Vernon and to the union 2 sons, Justin and Stanton were born. She worked at a car lot in Vernon and then ran her Shutterbug Photography Studio at home with the boys until they were school age. She then worked at Show String in Frederick, OK until the family moved to Walters in 1993. Terry served as Walters High School secretary for 10 plus years. She and Randy eventually moved to Chickasha in 2014.

She was a member of Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha. She loved her family and enjoyed genealogy, crossword puzzles, and collected chickens and longhorns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Stanton Payne; her brother, Clois Cobb, Jr.; a nephew, Tracy Cobb; and a niece, Nicole Tribble.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Payne of the home; her son, Justin Payne of San Francisco, CA; her grandsons, James Payne and Camren Payne both of the home; her brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Julie Cobb of Vernon, TX; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
