Mr. Terry "Big Moe" Reed passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at My Michigan Medical Center Saginaw at the age of 77 years. He was born September 5, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of James O. and Malonia (Mincy) Reed.
He graduated from Saginaw High School "Class of 66". After graduation he was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 699. Terry retired with 33 years of loyal service in 1999.
He loved to ride his Harley Motorcycles and loved building his own, starting with just the frame. He and Billy Francek would spend weeks putting them together. When not riding, he watched movies and listened to music. He especially enjoyed Jazz and R&B: Grover Washington and The Temptations. He had an obscene music collection.
Terry leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 57 years, Janice (Boyles) Reed; one daughter, Mrs. Jacqueline Boyles (Anthony) Roberts; one son, Otis Reed; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Evelyn Strum and Sylvia Reed; many aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Terry Reed was preceded in death by a son, Terry Reed, Jr.; siblings, Jasper Mincy, Lauretta Reed, James G. Reed and Lamar Reed.
Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Albert Haynes, Jr. will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
