Mr. Terry Lee Rock, 77, of Kernersville, NC and formerly of Covington, passed away on October 16, 2025 under the care of Select Specialty Hospital at Moses Cone in Greensboro.

Born in Pageton, WV, he was the son of the late Joseph and Martha Rachel Hepler Rock and husband of Dana Clarkson Rock.

Terry was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country in Vietnam. For his service and valor, he was the recipient of a Bronze Star. He was very proud of his service to his country.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Dana Rock; his children, Raymond Rock and Russell Rock; his grandchildren, Austin Gamble, Stacy Rock, Tiffany Rock, and Aiden Rock; his step-grandchildren, Victoria McCoy (Aiden Outlaw) and Mae McCoy; his great-grandchildren, Akira Outlaw and Hailey Rock; his siblings, Raymond H. Rock, Jeter Rock, Juanita Dressler, and Barbara Diesher; many nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law who cherished him deeply.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Rock, Gladys Bates, and Joyce Shires.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Arritt Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. The family will receive their friends from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will be made at New Zion Union Church Cemetery in Waiteville, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Waiteville Cemetery Fund, C/O Jean Rock, 6306 Waiteville Rd., Waiteville, WV 24984; or to a veteran's organization of your choice.
