Terry Wayne Rogers, aged 73, was called to his eternal home on May 16, 2025.

Terry was born in Gadsden, Al, to Cornelia and Gordon Rogers on October 9, 1952. He graduated from Etowah High School, class of 1971, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Jackey Kelley (Rooks). Although they ended the marriage, they remained lifelong friends. During their union they raised two children: LaTanya and Christopher.

Terry devoted four years to the United States Air Force which allowed him to travel the world from Japan to California. After moving back to Attalla, he embarked on a notable career with the Greater Gadsden Housing Authority, where he retired after 20 years of service.

Terry is survived by his daughter, LaTanya Sam (Rogers) Atlanta, GA; son, Christopher B. Rogers of Tampa, FL; brother, James Rogers, Southside, Al. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Rogers, and mother, Cornelia Rogers Cole.

Terry was known for his diverse hobbies which included fishing, gardening, reading manuals of mechanicals, practicing martial arts, and enjoying music from all genres. He enjoyed watching boxing matches and was an avid fan of Science Fiction movies. He also cherished time spent spoiling his grandchildren, creating lasting memories.

Terry's life was marked by his commitment to his family, his service in the Air Force, and his dedication to his community through his work. Those who knew Terry will remember him for his diverse interests, infectious smile and overwhelming laughter. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
