Terry Sauser, age 82 of Stone Creek, passed away October 26, 2024 in Ohio’s Hospice Truman House surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 27, 1941, in Stone Creek, he was a son of the late Calvin and Evelyn (Baker) Sauser.
After graduating from high school, he began a 65-year career as a Union Carpenter. Locally he worked for Rader and Gundy Construction for many years. He was a gifted craftsman and his talents were often requested by local companies and individuals.
In his free-time he enjoyed camping with his family. Cutting firewood, caring for his hobby farm, gardening, or taking meticulous care of his yard were his many hobbies. He always enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. If his door was open people knew to stop by and visit.
His faith was nurtured at Zion Lutheran Church in Stone Creek. He was a lifetime member. He could often be found helping with the many building projects at the church.
On October 4, 1964 he married the love of his life, Cheryl Beaber and together they have enjoyed 60 years of marriage. In their free-time they enjoyed traveling. But their greatest joy was watching their grandkids playing various sports.
Terry is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Todd (Jane) Sauser of New Philadelphia; Shelly (Scott) Ruegsegger of Dover; grandchildren, Megan (Mike) McKenzie, Logan (fiancé, Emily) Sauser, Kyler Ruegsegger, Kade Ruegsegger, and Kasey Ruegsegger; great-grandchildren, Jett, and Austin McKenzie; brother, Gale (Wyviona) Sauser; sister, Maurene Myers; sister-in-law, Pamela Hykes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel where Pastor Wes George will lead the service.
