Terry Siden

In Loving Memory of Terry Siden 1946-2025 Terry Siden, 78, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Kalispell.

Terry’s life was shaped by curiosity, a strong independent spirit, and a deep appreciation for both his family and nature. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1946. At the age of 9, his family moved west to sunny Southern California, where he would go on to study engineering at UC San Diego.

He began a 30-year career at Hewlett-Packard in the late 1960s, known by colleagues for his sharp, analytical mind and dedicated work ethic. His work took him across the globe — but it was at HP that he also found something even more enduring, his future wife, Dawn. The two eloped in Las Vegas in 1976 and spent the next 49 years building a life together.

Terry and Dawn raised three children— Celeste, Nick, and Christina — on Palomar Mountain in San Diego County. There, Terry enjoyed the trees, found joy in quiet projects in his workshop, and purpose in his steady study of the Bible.

After their children were grown, Terry and Dawn embraced life on the road, traveling the country he loved in their motorhome. On a trip to Montana in the early 2000s, he fell in love with the beauty of the Flathead Valley—he knew he had found his place. Terry spent the last 18 years of his life in the valley, finding peace beneath its vast skies and open spaces.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn Siden, and their three children. The family will be having a celebration of life, later this year in California.
