Terry Elliott Simmons of Como, NC, affectionately known as "Unc" gained his Heavenly wings on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1958 to Rev. Marlene Banks Simmons and the late William Simmons, Sr. in Franklin, VA. He was a Nurse's Aide for Twin Oaks Rest Home. He leaves to cherish his fond memories; his mother, Rev. Marlene Simmons of Como, NC; two sisters, Gloria Simmons of Jefferson, GA and Minister Mary Watson (George) of Murfreesboro, NC; one brother, William Simmons, Jr (Danetta) of Emporia, VA; seven aunts, Marcell Faulk of Suffolk, VA, Willie M. Banks of Como, NC, Carolyn Johnson of Suffolk, VA, Cecile Cherry of Suffolk, VA, Dorothy Banks of Hampton, VA, Natalie Payne of LA and Janie Payne of Brooklyn, NY; four uncles, William Banks, Jr. of Como, NC, Melvin Banks (Carolyn) of Como, NC, Enoch Copeland of Suffolk, VA and Anthony Payne (Sonya) of Orlando, FL; his canine companion, Reese; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.
