Terry Lynn Solf

Graveside services for Terry Solf will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2025, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Carmen, with Rev. Paul Kirk officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary, LLC.
Terry Lynn, son of Ralph Fredrick and Vona Esther (Ball) Solf, was born November 12, 1943, at Alva hospital and passed away suddenly October 17, 2025, at Houston, Texas, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 5 days.
Terry was raised in Aline and graduated from Carmen High School. He attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University for a few years. He worked at the Alva airport for a while and was a mechanic on helicopters. He then got his pilot license and became a crop duster supporting his family. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964 and served proudly.
On December 12, 1979, he was united in marriage to Vickie Lynelle Stancliff at the Alva Christian Church. To this union they had a son, Bruce. They split their time between Lake Jackson, Texas and Aline. Terry was a collector of many things, including trains, record albums, holiday decorations, and christmas ornaments.
Besides his parents, Ralph and Vona, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce R. Solf.
Terry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vickie Solf of Lake Jackson, Texas, his son, Bruce W. Solf of Houston, Texas; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made through the mortuary to the Carmen After 55 Club.
