Terry Ray Sutton, of Hazelwood, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the age of 72. Loving husband of Patricia "Patty" A. Sutton; beloved son of the late Ray E. and Elizabeth M. Sutton; devoted father of Jeff (Danielle) Sutton and Becky (Wesley) Ray; cherished grandfather of Tim (Nick) Sutton, Kylie (Alex) Hemmer, Colin Ray, and Avery Ray; dear brother of Julie Tooley, Steve (Amy) Sutton, Neal Sutton, and Beth (Steve) Helmer; and is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. Terry is also preceded in death by his sister, Terasa Fink.
Terry was a diesel mechanic at Ryder Truck Rental 42 years before retiring and a member of Local Union 777 Machinist Lodge. A jack of all trades, he enjoyed home improvement projects and was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and puzzles. He was a dedicated fan of the St. Louis Blues and NASCAR. Despite his varied interests, Terry's greatest love was his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Terry's name to Guide Dogs of America.
