Terry Thompson, 72, passed away on September 20, 2025 in Denver, Colorado. Born on October 17, 1952 in Topeka, Kansas, Terry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community service, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

Terry graduated from Alameda High School in 1971 where he was on the ski and track team. Terry pursued higher education at Fort Lewis College in Durango before earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. His professional journey included 18 years of service with the city of Littleton, where he contributed to the growth and well-being of the community. Following his tenure there, he successfully ran his own landscape business, combining his love for the outdoors with his entrepreneurial spirit.

An avid skier from a young age, Terry competed in ski racing through college and remained deeply involved in the sport throughout his life. He served on ski patrol at Loveland ski area and continued to enjoy time on the slopes well into his later years. His passion for adventure extended beyond skiing, he found joy in photography and traveling, capturing moments and memories wherever he went.

Terry's commitment to service was evident in many aspects of his life. He taught Bible school for children at University Park Methodist Church and later returned to lead the youth group and organize several community-focused service projects. His faith and compassion were guiding forces that shaped his interactions with others.

Family was central to Terry's life. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Jennifer Lisiecki; son Cliff Thompson; sister Pam Thompson; brother Mark Thompson; grandsons Eason Thompson and Rhylee Thompson; and nieces Stephanie Brothers, Amanda Lynn, and Chelsea Thompson. Terry never missed one of his children's events and was a steadfast presence in their lives. He also served as Cub Master for his son's troop, nurturing leadership and camaraderie among young scouts.

Those who knew Terry will remember him as kind-hearted and always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it was sharing a cup of coffee and a donut or taking time for a simple conversation, he made people feel seen and valued.

Terry's legacy lives on through the lives he touched, with warmth, generosity, and unwavering support. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Phillips United Methodist Church 1450 S Pierce St. Lunch will be served following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Terry's lifelong love of family and children with a contribution to Save the Children.
