Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hile-Best Funeral Home on Dec. 8, 2025.
Terry D. Wenner, 80, of Oil City, passed away Sunday morning, December 7, 2025, at Oil City Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born on March 2, 1945, in Franklin, Terry was the son of the late D.O. and Lorraine T. (Smith) Wenner. He was a 1963 graduate of Cranberry High School.

Terry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting on July 11, 1963 through his honorable discharge on April 10, 1968, during which he was stationed at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Ohio. He attained the rank of Sergeant. His time in the Air Force remained an important chapter of his life and something he spoke of with pride.

A lifelong car enthusiast, Terry loved attending local car shows and could often be found sharing stories and talking with friends about classic cars and automotive history. Over the years, he worked for several companies, including Dayton Power and Light, Penelec, and Franklin Industries. He also spent many years as a delivery driver for various companies, among them UPS and Hovis Auto.

Terry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 17 years, Janice; his son from a previous marriage, Zach Wenner and his wife, Benny, of Calhan, Colorado; his sister, Sherry Kulling and her husband, Gary, of Seneca; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron.

A visitation for family and close friends will be held Friday (December 12) from Noon - 2 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, where services will follow Friday at 2 p.m. with full military honors accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard, followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Roy Gearhart, pastor of Galloway Church of Franklin. Private interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery in Kennerdell.
