Terry Lee Williams, 80, of Fraziers Bottom, WV passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 with his wife, Mary Knapp Williams by his side at Genesis Putnam Care Center Hurricane, WV.
Born January 30, 1945, at Dawes, WV. Terry was the son of the late Robert Vernon Williams, Sr. and Eva Mae Allman Williams. In addition to his parents, Terry was predeceased by his only sister, Rita Louise Williams Persinger and a brother, Robert V Williams, Jr. (Jeanelle).
Terry is survived by his son, John Franklin Williams (Heather Amory Williams) of Winfield WV; two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and a great-grandson on the way. He is also survived by many cousins, Church Family, loyal friends and American Legion buddies.
Terry served with the US army and held several civilian jobs before landing a job in the computer business where he excelled and served many clients throughout WV for many years. He was a unique person and had a strong love for the English language, learning new words and using them properly. He wrote many poems although he never published any of them.
His latest adventure was working with/for Richard and Jennifer Edwards at Village Heirlooms Amish furniture store. He made numerous friends there and loved the wood and the finished products. He worked up until he had the Deep Brain Stimulator implanted to help control the Parkinson's disease. The DBS did work as intended, however, the brain disturbance from the implanted leads complicated the cognitive impairment and he was forced to retire. During some of his more lucid moments, he tried to sell Amish furniture to all his doctors, nurses and staff at University Kentucky hospital in Lexington.
Terry was an active and faithful member of the Christ Community Church Scott Depot, WV.
Terry's last act of human kindness was to donate his body to medical science. When medical research finishes with his body, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Alderson Funeral Services and Smathers Funeral Chapel is honored to assist Terry's family during their time of need.
