Terryl Ann Donnelly, lovingly known as Terry (T-Bone), passed away on January 18, 2025, in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 84. Born on November 13, 1940, in Flint, MI, she was the only child of Robert and Pauline (Chaplinski) Montgomery. Terry graduated from Flint Central High School in 1958, embarking on a life dedicated to her family and community.
On October 15, 1960, Terry was united in marriage with Terrence Donnelly in Flint for thirteen years. She raised three children who brought great joy to her life. Family was everything to Terry, and she took immense pride in being an outstanding mother and grandmother.
Terry's career began in her early years as an excellent homemaker, where her culinary talents and meticulous housekeeping created a warm and inviting home. Later, she applied her skills in the workforce at Kmart and subsequently served as a bookkeeper in the food service department (Canteen) at General Motors Institute, now known as Kettering University. She dedicated herself to this role until her retirement, where she continued to form enduring friendships. Terry resided in Flint until moving to Sioux City in 2012.
A member of Holy Rosary Parish in Flint, St. John Parish in Fenton, and Sacred Heart Parish in Sioux City, Terry found joy in community and faith. She was particularly passionate about music and enjoyed participating in the choir at Holy Rosary, where her warm spirit resonated with fellow parishioners.
Described by those who knew her as funny, loving, humble, self-sacrificing, content, and a loyal friend, Terry cultivated deep connections that enriched her life. She leaves behind her beloved children: Jill Foley of Haslett, MI, Shelly (Paul) Eisenbeis of Fenton, MI, and Shawn (Rita) Donnelly of Sioux City, IA; along with six adored grandchildren: Hannah, Evan, Connor, Ethan, Emily, and Davis. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through them. She is remembered fondly by her lifelong friends Bob and Kathy Hale, Bonnie Fray, and numerous friends and Family in Michigan, Minnesota and Sioux City.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Auntie Pat.
As we honor Terry’s memory, we will carry forward her spirit of love, laughter, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
