Teryka Dawn Nutter

Nov 19, 1981-Dec 21, 2025

The memory of our Daughter, Mother, Sister, and Friend will be cherished as sad and yet happy that she is finally at peace.

Teryka graduated from Messalonskee High School in 2000 and from Eastern Maine Community College with an associate's degree in Early Childhood Development.

Teryka dearly loved her children with all her heart and her priority was always keeping them a happy family unit that could rely on each other.

She enjoyed being by the water, camping, dancing, cooking and had an unbelievable work ethic.

She tried so hard to get back to her life that was less of a struggle, but in the end became impossible.

Teryka passed away with her family and best friend Mishael by her side. She knew that we all loved her and was able to tell us she loved all of us as well. It was very sad to say our final goodbyes.

Teryka is survived by her mother, Julie Baker and Wayne; father, Thomas Nutter and Celeste; grandfather, Ernie Rice and Kathy; aunt, Lisa Nutter; uncle, Richard Rice and Deanna; aunt, Jenney Thornell and Brian; brother; Matthew LaFreniere and Carrie; sister, Brelyn LaFreniere; sister, Haley Nutter; sister, Olivia Skeel and Coleman; sister, Rebecca Emery and Levi; her children, Caleb, Thomas, Michael, McKayla; bonus son Zander; several nieces and nephews and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Wayne Community Church on Old Winthrop Road, Wayne, Maine on January 17th, 2026 at 11:00 with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall at the church.

A private ash ceremony will take place on Great Pond in Belgrade in the Spring.

Teryka would want to send a special Thank You to her sister-in-law Carrie LaFreniere for ALWAYS supporting her and her children.

She also was loved and cared for by her work family at Extended Stay Hotel in Scarborough, Maine and the family would like to graciously thank them.

In lieu of flowers a Go Fund Me page (click here) will be available to help her brother and sister-in-law set up a trust for her young children in their care.
