Thales Gordon “T.G.” Barnes, II was born on August 6, 1981 in Arlington, Texas and he passed away on January 25, 2024 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 42 years old.
T.G. attended James Bowie High School, then later went on to achieve his CDL. He found joy in music of all genres; loved to snow and water ski, watch sports and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. He could spend hours shopping. He was a huge people person and loved being around lots of family and friends, always a plus if there was some good food. T.G. was known for his beautiful blue eyes and contagious smile; his heart of gold and his corny one-liners. He never met a stranger; he could walk into a room no knowing anyone and walk out knowing everyone. He loved his family, Jacki, Cameron and Colton.
He is survived by his wife, Jacki Pytel; son Cameron Barnes; stepson, Colton Dillon; mother, Sheila Diviney and husband, Dennis; father, Thales Barnes and wife, Laurie; grandmother, Julie Ann Neal; grandparents, Charles and Lanette Upchurch; and Royce and Lavon Wilson; siblings, Allana Barnes Keck, Haley Barnes Coupland, and Coby Diviney; aunts and uncles, Carla Upchurch, Anita Upchurch, Brian Upchurch, Randy Upchurch, and Clifton Upchurch, Casey Barnes, Belinda and Yrenio Carrera, Lisa Barnes, Cheryl and Chris Isaac, Kurt and Gina Wilson, Bill and Annie Miller, and Dave Miller; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and a host of friends. He is also survived by his Chi-pug mix, Duke.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home Chapel located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
