Richard "Dick" Michael Van Den Heuvel was born on November 14, 1948 in Stanley Wisconsin to the late Gertrude (Schmitt) and Aloys Van Den Heuvel. He passed away at home in Blue Mound, Texas on October 10, 2025 at the age of 76.
He was a 1966 graduate from Gilman High School. He served our country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He was in sales and was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marianne Witschen and husband, Richard; sister, Beatrice Lauer and husband, George; brothers-in-law, James Bischel and Donald Dobrzynski; sister-in-law, Kathleen Van Den Heuvel as well as 3 brothers and one sister at infancy.
Dick is survived by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Phyllis Van Den Huevel; children, Karen Ewing, Scott Van Den Huevel, Tim Weber, Rick Weber, and Tammy Keener; brother, Bernard Van Den Heuvel; brother, Harold Van Den Heuvel and wife, Mary; sister, Virginia Dobrzynski; sister, Annette Bischel; numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
