I was shocked to hear about the passing of Tom and his family. Tom was a childhood friend of mine. We grew up on the same street and he was part of the pack of boys on our street that would play football, baseball, ride bikes and hang out in the old neighborhood in Dearborn Hts. We also went to DC together for those 12 years. I last saw Tom about 10 years ago when I ran into him when I was back in town for a visit.
My heartfelt condolences to his extended family.

I don't know you...but I was driving on I-76 east heading home to Chicago around 5:00 a.m. when I was detoured due to a road closure. I saw the emergency vehicle lights as I travel parallel to the expressway. I said a quick prayer, as I always do when I see or hear emergency vehicles. As I drove down the desolate dark road I wondered what had happened and couldn't stop thinking about it. A couple of days later I read about the accident on line and was not prepared for the sad news. To the family and friends of the Toth family, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I have traveled that road many times over the years and will forever remember and honor the Toth family as I travel that stretch of road.
