Thelma Yuriko "Bunny" Farin

Thelma "Bunny" Yuriko Farin, 84, of Hilo, died on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1941 in Hilo, Hawaii. She was a retired executive senior insurance underwriter for Tokio Marine Insurance Company and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2025) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo; Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.; burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 Pavilion. Casual attire and no flowers. Survived by, husband, Cecil Farin of Hilo,; son, Trent Farin of Corona, California; daughters, Lori (Bob) Mc Mackin of Corona, California and Geri (Julius) Bruno of Moreno Valley, California; sister, Ann (Alan) Omuro of Hilo; sister-in-law, Joann Yoshihara of Florida; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
