Thelma "TJ" Hevron, 79, peacefully entered eternal rest on March 11, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. TJ was born in Hutchison, Kansas April 30, 1946 to Ernest and Ernestine Marshall. She was one of four children and shared the middle child role with her twin sister, Velma. Her time in Kansas with her extended family always held a special place in her heart. Before TJ started grade school, the family moved to the Sacramento, California area, eventually settling for good in Fair Oaks, California. TJ enjoyed her school years and often said her sister Velma protected her from the bullies because Velma was bigger and two hours older. TJ and Velma both started working for the California Department of Motor Vehicles after graduation, TJ working her way up to a Senior Field Representative over 34 years. She retired in 2009 to spend more time with her grandkids. TJ loved God and her church and was a longtime member of the Mariposa Avenue Church of Christ. She loved her church family the same as her blood family. She also loved Dutch Brothers, any and all flowers (sunflowers and roses being her favorites), gardening, crocheting and baking. Family gatherings will not be the same without her pumpkin pie squares made with extra love. We will forever remember TJ's smile, laughter, and kindness. She was the heart of her family and had an unwavering desire to help whomever and however she could and to provide whatever comfort was needed. Whether we needed our boo boos kissed or a hug after a difficult day, mom (TJ) was happy to provide. TJ is preceded in death by her parents and twin sister. She is survived by sister Ida Pruitt, brother Carl Marshall, daughter Christina (Doug) Gearhart, son Royce (Vanessa) Hevron, her beloved grandchildren Tristan, Arianna, Danielle and Isadora, as well as neices Gail Pruitt and Denice (Chris) Crombie and nephew Bryce Marshall. There will be a celebration of TJ's life on April 4th at 11am at the Mariposa Avenue Church of Christ at 7111 Mariposa Ave. Citrus Heights, CA.
