Thelma Christine Johnson, affectionately known as Mama Tina, passed away on July 26, 2024 in Dallas, TX. She was born on March 2, 1954, in Royse City, TX. Thelma led a fulfilling life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. Thelma dedicated her career to serving others an assistant director for a group home the elderly. Her kind and nurturing nature touched the lives of many residents under her care. Thelma's commitment to making the world a better place set her apart.

She earned a Bachelor's degree from Mountain View College, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and personal growth. Thelma's thirst for knowledge was commendable and inspired those around her to pursue their educational dreams.

Outside of her professional life, Thelma was known for her bubbly and outgoing personality. She had a zest for life that was infectious, spreading joy wherever she went. Thelma had a passion for karaoke and singing, bringing music and happiness into the lives of those around her. She especially cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren, creating precious memories that will be treasured forever.

Thelma leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her loving family and friends who will deeply miss her warm presence. The world has truly lost a bright light with Thelma's passing.

A viewing to celebrate Thelma's life will be held on August 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas in Dallas, TX. This will be an opportunity for all who knew Thelma to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable person she was.

In honor of Mama Tina's memory, may we carry forward her spirit of compassion and joy in our own lives. Rest in peace knowing that you were loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
