Thelma Louise Thacker

Thelma Louise Parson Thacker, age 82, widow of Ronald Gene Thacker passed away Monday, May 12th, 2025, at Baptist Health Richmond. She was born in Madison County, KY, to the late Ernest Parson and the late Edna Mae Lear. Thelma loved tending her flowers, her faithful companion Duke but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter Ruby. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
Other than her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three siblings, Twins, Jessie and Bessie Parson and William Lear.
Thelma is survived by her son, Randall Gene Thacker and his wife Stacie of Mount Vernon, KY, her grandson, Rodney Gene (Marissa Beatty) Thacker, her great granddaughter, Ruby Melinda Louise Thacker. She is also survived by four siblings, Eddie Lear, Clinton Lear, Johnny Lear, and Mary Ann Barnett.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday, May 14th, 2025, at Davis & Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 15th, 2025, also at the funeral home, you may view the service live at www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com. Rev. Bill Hammond will officiate. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens, pallbearers will be, Randall Thacker, Rodney Thacker, Ron Jones, Coleman Jones, Larry Bullen, and Joe Bullen. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Thacker and Joe Ferguson.
