Theodor Noth

The world said goodbye to Theodor Noth on June 14, 2025. Known as Teddy to those who loved him, he was born January 26, 1940 in Bucharest, Romania to the late Cerna and Emeric (Imre) Noth, under German occupation.
In 1952, Teddy emigrated from Romania to Israel with his parents. He began his service in the Israeli Defense Forces in 1958 at the age of 18, shortly after losing his father. He served as an officer in the Golani division for 3 years. Teddy met the love of his life, Judy, shortly after leaving the service. They married on August 19, 1963 and went on to raise two children: Gillad and Imre.
Teddy obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1969, leading to a long career as an architect, specializing in public institutions such as schools and libraries. He finished his career at DLR Group, retiring at the age of 60.
Teddy spent the following years traveling the world with his wife, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoying time in the backyard that he spent countless hours turning into a private oasis. He was known for his love of architecture, history, wine, and cheese. Teddy was also popular for his parlor trick of drawing Mickey Mouse, despite his artistic talents far exceeding that.
Teddy was preceded in death by both his mother and father.
Teddy is survived by his wife Judy; his sons Gillad (Tanya), and Imre (Sheila); and grandchildren Ariella, Gabriel (Gabe), Alexander (Alex), Ava, and Isaac (Ike).
