Carolina. He left the Lung Association in 1993 and moved to Arcadia, Michigan. It was there that he dedicated his remaining work years to the ministry. Following coursework at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, and the Deacon Training Program of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, he was ordained and served as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arcadia for almost 19 years. Pastor Ted retired in 2015 and moved to a condominium in Traverse City. Almost immediately he began his third career as an active volunteer for Interlochen Public Radio, later branching out to serve at the Dennison Center and to drive shuttle carts to transport attendees to summer performances of the World Youth Symphony. He received the 2018, 2019,
and 2020 "Volunteer of the Year" award from Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Pastor Ted is survived by his sons, Derek (Amy) Beiderwieden of Woodlawn, Tennessee, and Mark (Annette) Beiderwieden of Schondorf, Germany, and his daughter, Karyn Loomis (Steve Melka) of Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Andrew, Hannah and Niklas Beiderwieden, Sara (Matt) Zeitler, and Walker Loomis; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Collin and Caitlin Zeitler.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia. Interment will be at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Arcadia. Memorial donations may be made to Interlochen Center for the Arts, Interlochen MI 49643, or Trinity Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 139, Arcadia MI 49613. Arrangements by Jowett Family Funeral Home of Benzonia, Mi.

Growing up I looked up to Teddy as Bonnie´s big brother. He was kind to us and seemed very sophisticated. I´ll always remember him driving all the way down to our cottage on the Jersey shore to pick up Bonnie, who had been staying with us, and to take her home. Bonnie and I awaited his arrival on the busy highway singing "Get ready for Teddy," a silly fifties song. Lost touch over the years but in last ten or so had contact again and he seemed content and peaceful. I valued that time.

Our deepest Sympathy - we heard your Dad received his crown to glory!
So deeply saddened by the news of our Dear friend, Pastor Ted & B-day Buddy w/ Mark 10-22, he was family.
Yes, Heavens Gates are open, for our dearly departed loved ones, rest in the arms of God to sweetly live again.

Ted will always hold an extra special place in our hearts: our kids (Stephanie Barbera & Todd Galdes) were Pastor Ted´s 1st wedding to officiate at Trinity- Arcadia 5-24-2008
And he baptized two of our grandsons - Urban & Henrik at Trinity Lutheran Church.
