Theodore "Ted" Dean Borz, November 10, 1962 – February 7, 2026.
Ted Borz, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was a fun-loving outdoorsman, dog lover, hunter, and fisherman. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 7, 2026, at the age of 63.
Ted was born in
Camden, NJ, spending his early years in Pennsauken, moving to Hammonton, then Buena where he ran his business "Ted's Taxidermy," and later moved to
Glassboro, NJ. He graduated from Edgewood Regional High School, Class of 1982, and graduated from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA. These experiences shaped his life and provided many anecdotal stories of his early life shenanigans. As an active participant in the community, Ted served as the President of the South Jersey Predator Hunters Association and was known for presiding over the club's annual convention and representing the interests of the New Jersey State Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs advocating for hunters' rights and conservation policy. Ted was a lifetime member of the National Taxidermist Association. He was Master of Hounds while involved with the Pomona Meadows Beagle Club. Ted was a devout Catholic and attended Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Parish. He was an excellent cook,
especially of wild game. Ted was exceptionally funny and charismatic with his boisterous laugh and gap-toothed grin. There are countless hijinks that his friends and family will continue to remember.
Ted leaves behind his loving daughters and their families: Brenna (Borz) Gortner and husband Justin Gortner, Taylor Borz and husband Zachary Riley, Meghan (Borz) Smith and husband James Smith, granddaughters Juniper Smith and Lily Smith, siblings Adam Borz and wife Heather (LaBar) Borz, Judith (Borz) Adirzone Lyles and husband Frank Lyles, Patricia (Borz) Ruggiero, and loving nephews and fishing buddies Mason Borz, Eric Adirzone, and Joseph Adirzone.
Ted joins his loving parents Patricia (Pat) Borz née Mason and Thaddeus (Thad) Borz and brother Thaddeus (Taddy) Borz in eternal peace.
Other meaningful people and chosen family in Ted's life included Eric LaBar, Deidre (Dee) Hildebrant, the Spath Family – Glenn, Susan, and Glenn Jr., the Murray Family - David, Mason, and Lou, the Hannon Family – Charlotte, Rob, Alexander, and Evelyn, Fred Ablett, Dominic Delancey, Andrey Abernovich, and countless others who cherished his quick wit and loyal friendships. Ted will be missed by his extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and an amazing community of neighbors and friends.
A memorial service for Ted will be held at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, on Friday, February 13, 2026, beginning at 11 AM; visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service.
