Armando Pioppi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Demarco-Luisi Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Armando Pioppi passed away at 82 years of age. He was born at the Piney Hollow Homestead in Franklin Township.

He was a third generation family farmer. He started farming at 9 years old and eventually became a partner with his father on Pioppi Farms. He attended Franklin Twp. Schools, and in 1963, he married Theresa Centanni, the love of his life. They had three children and seven grandchildren.

Armando was an avid hunter and belonged to the Piney Hollow Sportsman Club, where he was a lifetime member. He also belonged to the Vineland Produce Auction and Landisville Produce Co-op for farming. Armando loved the casinos in Atlantic City, and one of his favorite things he looked forward to was "casino night" every Friday with his wife Theresa, his two daughters, Rhonda and Tina, and his granddaughters, Avery and Alyssa. He also loved going to the flea markets to buy antiques, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

After Armando's father passed away, he rented the family farms and worked at Mays Landing Transportation Co. in Malaga for five years. He also worked at Vineland Transit Mix Concrete Co. for five years and then Atlantic County Concrete Material Co. for five years in Pleasantville. These companies were all connected and union. After retiring from the concrete business, he returned to the farms and worked side by side with his brother Jino until his passing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Armando is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa (Centanni) Pioppi, and their three children: Armando Pioppi Jr. (Donna), Tina Pioppi Bononcini (Jay) and Rhonda Pioppi Curcio (Joe). He is also survived by his siblings, Jino Pioppi Jr. (Diane), Jean Pioppi Bowe (Joe), Teresa Pioppi (Al), and Jeannette Palmieri. Cherishing his memory are his seven grandchildren: Alyssa Bononcini, Dominic Bononcini, Avery Curcio, Joseph Curcio IV, Amanda Pioppi, Philicia Pioppi, and Corey Pioppi, along with his brothers and sisters-in law, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:30pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland, NJ. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
