Rose Pioppi Obituary
Rose M. Pioppi passed away on January 21, 2021. She was 91 years old. Born October 31, 1929 in Netcong , N.J. and made Netcong her home. She was a seamstress for 40 years at Dover Handbag. She was a devout Catholic and loved being at St. Michaels parish with her many friends. She loved Sunday dinners with her family. She would make sure we were always there. The family would eat, drink, and laugh. This made her smile. If her family was happy she was happy. Never asked for anything for herself.
Rose is predeceased by the love of her life her husband Albert. They were married 63 years. Now they are together again. She is also predeceased by her parents Luigi Defeo and Orsola. her brother Carmen Defeo, her sisters Anne Constantine, Jenny Santella and Louise Harsanyi.
Survivors include her daughter Maria Castelli and husband Pete, her son Albert N. Pioppi Jr and wife Laura…her granddaughters Marisa Pellek and husband Bryan…Denise Castelli and Philippe, Krista Pioppi and fiancé Tom, and Gina Pioppi.Great Grandchildren John Bryan and Charlotte Rose Pellek. Her brother Dominic Defeo and wife Elsie, her sister Lucy Tynan and husband Bruce. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Rose's family was the light of her life as she was our light. She will be greatly missed.
All arrangements are being conducted privately and under the direction of Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing, NJ.
