Theodore Heffner Obituary
Ted grew up in Lawrence, Kansas. He attended Sunset Hills Elementary School, West Middle School and graduated from Free State High School in 2007.
Ted loved art, music and his cat Sophie, but he loved his son most of all. Ted had a kind, strong and thoughtful spirit. He is loved and forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his parents, son, Theo Heffner, brother, Matt (Olivia) Heffner, two nephews, Declan Heffner and Langston Heffner, and one niece, Finley Heffner.
Ted was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Kathryn Heffner, and Leo and Viola Schmidt.
The family suggest memorials in Ted's name to his son's education fund, make checks payable to Theo Heffner and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044

Dear Heffner family,
I'm so sorry to hear this news. I remember Teddy as a little guy, bright and cheerful and full of spunk, during my summers working at Cap Fed. I can only imagine that he continued to light up every room over the years since. I'll be thinking of you and wishing you peace and comfort at such a difficult time.

For Mike and Donna,
I happened to be working with Mike when "Teddy " became your son. It was so inspiring to see the love and happiness he brought and was surrounded by. I remember thinking I was very fortunate to witness this event in your lives and happy you all shared it with us. I´m so sorry for your loss and hope somehow a memory from an old co-workers perspective knew the lottery in life Teddy was the recipient of and the absolute love that could be felt from your beautiful new family.
