Ted was a great American. Iconic. Tough, wise, and a man of faith. In the very short period of time that I knew him he left a lasting impression on me. My friends and I were very fortunate to have known him.

Ted was a man of profound character and honesty. He had a great deal of influence on so many of us young men at Gateway Gym. (Though now we are much older.) His loud voice and knowledge of lifting weights was a great motivator to those who knew him. Beyond the gym he gave good council and was a stalwart friend to those who were in need. I feel blessed to have known him and considered him a great friend. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. God Bless you Ted.

I will miss seeing Mr. Ted when he would visit my Mom & Dad. He was a proud man who was always gracious to me and my family.

Please accept my condolences. Ted was an imposing fellow with his deep voice and "old man" strength, but 30 seconds after meeting him you knew he was an all-around great guy. Ted taught me alot about lifting and life in general at Gateway Gym. You knew when you heard Ted say, "Hey there young man, let me show you something" you were about ready to go through the gauntlet. I'm sure he's now someplace where every day is arm day. Rest in Peace, Ted.
