Theodore Paul Franks, Sr. Age 97, of Fenton, passed away on February 9, 2025. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, located at 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430, with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation from 2-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Ted was born on July 13, 1927, to Joseph P. and Mertie (Bruno) Franks. He proudly served as a veteran in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ted married Delvine "Tuffy" Cornell, who preceded him in death in 1998. After a fulfilling career, he retired in 1991 from Excel Corporation in Fenton, where he worked as a tool and die maker. In addition to his time at Excel, Ted also held positions at Universal, the window factory in Fenton, Schupbach Concrete Company, and the City of Fenton. He is survived by his loving children: Ted (Phyllis) Franks, Jr., Rick (Pat) Franks, Janie Mansueti, and Judy Franks; his cherished 13 grandchildren: Tammy, Tim, Leslie, Kelly, Kristy, Jodi, Casie, Angie, Robb, Sami, Jeff, James, and Joe; along with many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Ted is also preceded in death by his son, Joseph; son-in-law, Bob Mansueti; and brothers, Chuck Franks and Fred Pattan. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
