Theos Grove Obituary

Theos Arthur (Art) Grove, age 83, of Blaine passed away on September 22, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents. Willard and Berneda (Greenly) Grove, brother Karl Grove, sister Gwen Nallick, and former wife Barbara Grove.

He is survived by his wife Juanita, sister Audrey Grove, son Douglas (Ranjini) Grove, daughter Leslie (David) Patterson, daughter Lara (James) Zuleger; grandchildren Samantha Deans, Aneesh Grove, Henry Patterson and Alise and Logan Zuleger, and many relatives and friends.

Life began for Art on a dairy farm in eastern Pine County on September 14, 1942. His education included eight years at Bangs Brook Country School and four years at Hinckley High School. He was a proud member of the class of 1960 and went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota in 1965.

Art married Barbara Alden in 1965 and they were blessed with three children. His career in banking brought the family to Northfield, St. Peter and St. Cloud. In retirement Art enjoyed driving for Voigt Transport LTD, and Hensley Transportation Inc. Art was known for his keen mind, work ethic, thoughtfulness and generosity. Throughout his life, Art gave generously of his time and finances to those in need. On his 77th brithday, Art married his high school classmate Juanita (Wicklund) Thiessen. They made their home in Blaine, Minnesota.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Hinckley with visitation beginning at 10 AM. The 11 AM service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Kevin Carr. Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery Hinckley, Minnesota.
