Theresa Barkewich Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share with you the passing of Theresa Linda Barkewich (Nee: Crowe), at the age of 57. Our angel left us on November 6, 2025 with her loving family by her side.
Growing up in Riverside, NJ K-8th grade, she attended St. Peter's Catholic School. Then onto Riverside High School, which she always said, "were the best years growing up". Involved in the Color Guard and the well-known Sports Night, nothing could compare-or so she thought-we'll get to that in a minute (just keep "grandchildren" in mind). She always had a knack for drawing, so graduating high school sent her down a path to the Philadelphia Art Institute, where she received an art degree in advertising. Searching for a challenge and always wanting to try new things she moved to Burlington for a fresh start. Letting no grass grow under her feet, she took great interest in fire safety and went on to enroll and complete fire school, whereas she became a volunteer firefighter. Her nurturing spirit and compassion for other, left her looking for yet another adventure and decided on nursing school. She went "guns a blazing" while becoming a mother of 2, the beats of her heart would say. She successfully became an LPN and enjoyed many years in a career she felt extremely passionate about. Moving forward-she arrived at yet another exciting chapter-becoming a 911 dispatch operator-a career she took very seriously for well over a decade. That's enough for some to say "what a ride, take a breath woman, time to chill"-and she might have, until her breath was taken away with the arrival of 3 beautiful grandchildren-that meant she was about to begin the best and most rewarding career of all-she became MIMI. The moment each one of those babies arrived became the "real" nothing could compare, best-hands down. We cannot leave out the part where she was also a great lover of dogs-the bigger the better. She is preceded is preceded in death by her mother and father Patricia and Francis Crowe, sister Deborah Crowe and family pet Casey. Our dear Theresa is survived by her loving husband Roy; daughter Aubry (Doug) Chilton; grandchildren: Avianna Rose Chilton, Jameson Douglas Chilton, Giavanna Carmela Chilton; son Jordan Mohr, Family pet Odin, a sister Rose Ann (David) Ruff, niece Kristen (Kevin) Cruse, nephew Julian Cruse, a brother Frank (Jennifer) Crowe; nephews: Liam Michael Crowe and Aiden Patrick Crowe. A viewing for Theresa will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington from 9:30-11A.M. A service will begin at 11 with interment to follow in Lakeview Memorial Park, Rt. 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ.
She was a loving wife, mother, MIMI, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend-and now she is everyone's ANGEL WITH PERFECT WINGS-We Love You NMW. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to NJ Mastiff Rescue at Mastiff's of NJ Rescueme.org.
