Theresa Blyskal Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Theresa Blyskal, who left us peacefully on October 22 at the age of 93.
Born on November 28, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. Theresa lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. She was the heart of our family, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness, company and smile touched everyone.
Her family was everything to her. She provided a home filled with strong faith, forgiveness and unconditional love. Everyone was welcomed into her home.
Theresa worked for 30 years in Valley Stream South High School as a secretary in various departments. She truly loved her work and made many great friendships as a result. She loved the beach and enjoyed swimming.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, unselfishness and family devotion.
She is survived by her children Stephen, Gregory, Ronald and Eileen, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 brothers and predeceased by husband Leonard (2013) who she shared 60 years of marriage and her son Terrence (2021).
Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved and cherished her.
She will be remembered for her love, kindness, smile and sense of humor.

As far back as I can remember, I initially called my sister "Dolly." Why? Because my father said she sometimes wore her hair in double braided pony tails, like the dolls of that era. Later I called her "Theresa" and when I matured, it became "Terry." Now she crossed over and joined my other predeceased family members as an angel, guiding me and my entire living family through life´s future uncharted roads. So once again, I can call her my "Angel Dolly." I LOVE YOU DOLLY.

I will forever treasure our terrific phone calls. Speaking with you always brought back all my wonderful Valley Stream childhood memories. You kept me update on our neighborhood and made me feel like I never left. Mrs. Blyskal you be remembered fondly and with lots of love.
