Theresa A. Hemond

NORTH SMITHFIELD -

Theresa A. (Robert) Hemond, 88, of North Smithfield, passed away April 3, 2025 in The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the wife of the late Roland Hemond whom she married September 3, 1956 and whom passed away March 30th. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Fernando and Aurore (Deserres) Robert.

Mrs. Hemond worked in the laundry department for St. Antoine Residence, and previously worked for Uniroyal, as well as, several various sewing establishments.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth and Diane, both of North Smithfield, a step-daughter, Ofelia, of Burrillville; and a brother, Bernard (Susan), of Uxbridge. She was the proud Memere to three grandchildren, Dillon (Christine), Chelsea, and Stephanie (Josh); and Mimi to three great grandchildren, Dean, Delaney, and Caleb. She was the sister of the late Lionel, Marcel, Andre, and Fernande Robert, and Lucille Forcier.

Funeral services for Theresa and Roland will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 beginning with visitation from 8:15 - 9:15AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
