Theresa (Tessie) Marie Frederico Waight
August 19, 1939 – October 15, 2025
Tessie was a devoted sister to Joann Holan (Dennis), Lawrence, and Frank
(Rose); and a cherished aunt to Lisa (Fanahan) and Frank Frederico, Spencer,
Cole, and Kendall Holan. Her presence in their lives was a source of warmth,
wisdom, and joy. She had a way of making each person feel seen and valued,
and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Faith was a cornerstone of Tessie's life. She found community and purpose
through her involvement with Mt. Carmel Church, where she helped with
spaghetti dinners - an act that combined her love of service with her love of
people. Later, she attended Our Lady of Peace Church, continuing her spiritual
journey with grace and devotion.
Tessie had a gentle heart and a vibrant spirit. She adored animals, especially
cats, and her home was always open to furry companions. She found beauty
in flowers, comfort in Hallmark movies, and joy in music - often bursting into
song with a smile that could light up a room.
Walking was one of her favorite pastimes and she never missed an opportunity
to greet a neighbor or strike up a conversation with a stranger. She had a gift
for connecting with people and her kindness left a lasting impression on
everyone she met.
Tessie's life was a testament to the power of faith, family, and friendship. She
lived with authenticity and generosity, embracing each day with curiosity and
compassion. Her legacy lives on in the stories we share, the love she gave,
and the example she set.
Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she led.
Tessie will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and neighbors - but she
will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she
gave so freely.
Tessie was preceded in death by her husband Charles, brother Raymond and
parents, Raymond and Rose (nee Forte) Frederico.
Funeral service is Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
